For several years, researchers from different countries work on new applications of technology called RFID. The abbreviation comes from the English-language term “radio frequency identification” – technology that is used from the early 70s of the 20th century, but which gained momentum only recently thanks to a lower production costs.
Google introduces new requirements on websites when they are open from mobile devices, and in the same time creating a new platform for mobile page creation. The initiative is called Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) and aims to improve the loading speed of mobile websites.
“We want websites with video, animations and graphics to work with smart ads and instantaneously. We want a single source code to run on different devices and platforms to enable content to be displayed anywhere regardless of the type of device you use” , says Google in its official blog.
Microsoft introduced two new mobile phones that will be the new flagship devices of the company. They rely on a liquid-cooling, in order to use more powerful processors. And it is necessary because the devices can be used as partial replacements for the PC.

Apple is well known for its applications for patents that describe devices powered by renewable energy sources such as solar energy and movement. No doubt the company continues to do just that. In a recently filed patent the company described a “portable and cost-effective fuel cell systems for portable computing device”, which seems that the company provides a device that can use several different energy source through the fuel cell.
Although the company has yet to produce such a machine powered by renewable energy, Apple seems quick to patent everything they could provide as possible use in future and current devices.

Wind energy is another option in many areas, but there is still a problem if the person does not have land on which to install big wind turbines. Janulus, a Minnesota company that works on creating a weather dependant and portable wind turbines, recently launched a campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds to finance four new easy to use models, exquisitely designed for renewable energy and ease of use.
The company has developed 4 different models of its portable Trinity wind turbine series with a capacity of 50, 400, 1000 and 2500 watts. The turbines rely on 7500 300 000 mAh lithium-ion batteries, depending on the model. The smallest of wind turbines weighs just 1.4 kg. This makes it really portable in the strict sense of the word. Even the largest model does collect in the trunk of a car. Furthermore, the turbines are equipped with two different types of blades, so that the user can “personalize” the models and to take advantage of the high and low wind conditions.
Oceans in the southern hemisphere of the Earth absorb more and more volumes of carbon dioxide – a major greenhouse gas, team of scientists had discovered.
The trend is increasing since 2002, but precise forecasting of its development is impossible, says the University of East England.
World Ocean absorbs huge amounts of carbon dioxide and almost half is accounted in waters surrounding Antarctica. These oceans and seas conditionally called Southern Ocean because they are located in the Southern Hemisphere.
Just like lungs, they absorb polluted air and exhale purified, as a significant portion of the carbon dioxide remains in the ocean. This is much more than quantity dismissed back into the atmosphere. Scientists believe that the Southern Ocean slows the pace of global warming.
